Absolutely! We offer personalization with up to 3 lines of embroidery (20 characters per line) on any fleece-backed blanket. The personalization will be in block font with white thread on the bottom right corner of the fleece side. To add this feature, select 'include embroidery' and fill in the three lines of text when ordering.

Embroidery Example

We create baby blankets using baby, toddler, and small child clothing. Our Baby Blankets require 8" panels and at least 9" of material. For items smaller than 9", we can add fabric for $5 each. Additional work will be invoiced through PayPal (Venmo and all major credit cards accepted).

Yes! We can add photos to your blanket for $14.95 each. Each photo counts as one panel in your total panel count. Please send images that are at least 5MP to info@myt-shirtblanket.com and include your order number in the subject line. Square photos (1:1) fit best, but we can adjust any photo ratio to make sure it looks great on your blanket.

Please follow the steps below when preparing your shirts for both our Classic T-Shirt Blanket and Double-Sided Classic T-Shirt Blanket. For baby blankets only, do not separate the front and back. Please send the entire garment intact.

Each T-shirt contains two panels: the front is one panel, and the back is a second panel. For baby blankets, each garment counts as one panel.

For long-sleeve shirts, please trim the sleeves to short sleeves before cutting the panels.

Send us only the side(s) you want included in your blanket:

  • If you want only the front, send only the front.
  • If you want only the back, send only the back.
  • If you want both, send the front and back as two separate panels.

Send only the exact number of panels required for your blanket. Please do not send extras.

If you prefer not to prepare your shirts, we can cut them for you for an additional $1 per shirt. Please clearly mark which side should be used. We will invoice you through PayPal (Venmo and major credit cards accepted) once your shirts arrive.

Please note this on your packing slip if you want us to prepare your shirts.

If these instructions are not followed, an additional $15 processing fee will apply.

A panel is the perfect square we cut from each t-shirt side you send us.

For the classic t-shirt blanket, four panel sizes are offered:

  • If you choose 12 x 12 inch panels, we need at least 13 x 13 inches of fabric.
Best for graphics 11.5" or smaller.
  • If you choose 14 x 14 inch panels, we need at least 15 x 15 inches of fabric.
Great for graphics larger than 11.5"—common on Greek-letter shirts, Harley Davidson tees, and concert shirts.
  • If you choose 16 x 16 inch panels, we need at least 17 x 17 inches of fabric.
Ideal for graphics larger than 13.5", such as hockey jerseys, Jimmy Buffett shirts, and oversized Harley Davidson or concert prints.
  • If you choose 18 x 18 inch panels, we need at least 19 x 19 inches of fabric.
Recommended for graphics larger than 15", including NASCAR shirts, hockey jerseys, and other large-format prints.

After sewing, each finished panel will measure slightly smaller than the cut size (8”, 12”, 14”, 16”, or 18”) because some fabric is used in the seams. The visible graphic area will be just under the listed panel size.

The final dimensions are typically as follows:

  • 8” panels: 7.5”–7.75”
  • 12” panels: 11.5”–11.75”
  • 14” panels: 13.5”–13.75”
  • 16” panels: 15.5”–15.75”
  • 18” panels: 17.5”–17.75”

The size of your graphic should guide your panel selection:

  • Most medium and larger shirts provide enough fabric for a 14" panel.
  • Larger graphics—such as those on Harley Davidson, NASCAR, concert shirts, Fire Department shirts, Hard Rock Café shirts, or Greek-letter apparel—often require 14", 16", or 18" panels.

What does it mean when we say your panels are too small for the size you ordered?

  • If you ordered 8 x 8 inch panels, we need at least 9 x 9 inches from each shirt.
  • If you ordered 12 x 12 inch panels, we need at least 13 x 13 inches from each shirt.
  • If you ordered 14 x 14 inch panels, we need at least 15 x 15 inches from each shirt.
  • If you ordered 16 x 16 inch panels, we need at least 17 x 17 inches from each shirt.
  • If you ordered 18 x 18 inch panels, we need at least 19 x 19 inches from each shirt.

If a shirt does not have enough usable fabric, we must cut out the graphic by hand and sew it onto a larger piece of fabric provided by us. Because this requires additional labor, a fee of $5 per square is applied. This is why it’s important to send shirts with plenty of fabric around the graphic!
