We offer several ways to customize your memory quilt by combining smaller items, adding patches, or featuring oversized graphics.
Combining Small Pieces
If you have multiple small graphics you would like grouped into a single square, we can combine them for $2.50 per piece.
2 pieces into 1 panel: $5.00
3 pieces into 1 panel: $7.50
4 pieces into 1 panel: $10.00

Patches & Memorabilia
We can add special accents to any panel to highlight your favorite memories:
Standard Patch: $5.00 each (from sleeves or other shirt parts)
Varsity Letter: $10.00 each
Scout Uniforms: We recognize the importance of your children’s accomplishments. We can move and arrange Boy Scout or Girl Scout emblems and patches to ensure they fit perfectly. The cost for this custom layout is $10.00 per panel.
Oversized Graphics
For extra-long or extra-large graphics, we offer extended panel sizes. Please safety pin a note to these items to ensure they are processed correctly.

Design Your Own (DYO) Layout
If you have a specific vision for your quilt, you can design the layout yourself for a fee of $19.99. To ensure we match your vision perfectly, please follow the steps below:
1. Arrange Your Shirts
After selecting your shirts, fold them so the graphics are fully visible. Lay them out on a flat surface in the exact order and position you want them to appear in your finished quilt.
2. Verify Your Layout Size
Ensure your layout matches the dimensions of the size you ordered:
Throw: 4 across × 4 down
Twin: 4 across × 6 down
Dorm Twin: 4 across × 7 down
Full: 5 across × 6 down
Queen: 7 across × 7 down
King: 8 across × 8 down
3. Capture and Send Your Photo
Take a clear, well-lit color photo of your arrangement. We must be able to see every graphic clearly to replicate the design.
Double-Sided Quilts: If you ordered panels on both sides, please send a photo of Side A and Side B.
Back-to-Back Graphics: If you want the front and back of the same shirt to be in the same spot on both sides, the second photo must be a mirrored image of the first (do not simply flip the shirt over).
4. Select the DYO Option
When placing your order, remember to select the "Design Your Own" option from the menu for each blanket you wish to customize.

Yes! We can personalize any of our fleece-backed blankets with custom embroidery.
Customization: Up to 3 lines of text (maximum 20 characters per line).
Style: We use a professional Block font with white thread for a clean, classic look.
Placement: Embroidery is placed on the bottom right-hand corner of the fleece side.
How to add personalization: When placing your order, simply select the "Include Embroidery" option for each blanket you would like customized. You will then be prompted to enter your text into the three lines provided.
Yes! We offer specialized Baby Blankets designed specifically for baby, toddler, and small child clothing.
Panel Size: Baby Blankets are made using 8" panels.
Requirements: Each clothing item must provide at least 9" of material.
Small Items: If an item is smaller than the 9" requirement, we can still include it by adding a fabric border for $5.00 per piece.
Billing Note: Any additional work (such as adding fabric to small items) will be automatically invoiced via PayPal. We also accept Venmo and all major credit cards.
Yes! We can create a custom blanket using your cherished Crown Royal bags.
Custom Fee: There is a $5.00 custom charge per bag used.
How to Order: Simply order your preferred blanket size as usual.
Billing: The additional custom charges will be invoiced through FreshBooks once we begin processing your order.
Yes! We can transform any of our blankets into a wall hanging or room divider.
The Process: We sew custom tabs onto the back of your blanket using various colors of fabric cut directly from your provided materials.
Hardware: Please note that hanging rods and mounting hardware are not included. These can be easily purchased at most home improvement or craft stores.

Our process is designed to be high-quality, durable, and affordable. We focus on a clean, modern construction that highlights your memories.
The Assembly Process
Precision Cutting: We cut a perfect 8”, 12”, 14”, 16”, or 18” square from each of your shirts. Our design team carefully arranges these panels, balancing colors and graphics for the best visual appeal.
Stitching: The panels are joined using a professional overlock stitch.
Backing: We back the blanket with your choice of soft, warm fleece (available in 6 colors) or with additional T-shirts to create a double-sided blanket.
Finishing: The front and back are sewn together, turned right-side out, and finished with a clean topstitch around the outer edge.
Why we call them "Blankets" instead of "Quilts" To keep our prices affordable and our blankets soft, we do not use batting, interfacing, or "tacking" (sewing the front and back layers together in the middle).
Durability: Interfacing and batting can break down over time with repeated washing. Our blankets are designed for daily use and are fully machine-washable.
Comfort: Without stiff stabilizers, our blankets remain soft and flexible.
Value: By skipping the time-consuming traditional quilting process, we are able to offer a high-quality product at a much lower price point than traditional quilt companies.

Please follow these simple steps to prepare your items before mailing them to us.
For Classic & Double-Sided Blankets:
Identify Your Panels: Each standard T-shirt contains two potential panels: the front and the back.
Separating Items: You may separate the fronts from the backs if you only want specific graphics used. If you want both sides included, they will count as two separate panels toward your total.
For Baby Blankets (Important):
Keep Garments Intact: For baby, toddler, and small child clothing, please do not separate the fronts from the backs. Send the entire garment to us intact.
Panel Count: Each individual baby garment counts as one panel toward your total.
Pro-Tip: If you have specific instructions for a certain shirt (like "use the small logo on the sleeve" or "combine these two pieces"), please safety pin a note directly to that item!
Please separate the front of the shirt from the back by cutting up the side seams and the seam of the sleeve and shoulder keeping the material from the sleeves.
For long sleeve shirts, please cut the sleeve down to a short sleeve then cut as described above.
Please send us only the side(s) that you would like included on your blanket. If you would like the front only, please send us only the front. If you would like the back only, please send us only the back. If you would like both the front and the back, please send both separated as described above.
Please send us only the number of panels(t-shirt sides) that are required for your blanket. Please DO NOTsend extras.
If you prefer not to prepare your own shirts, we can prepare them for you at an additional cost of $1 each. Please clearly mark which side of the shirt is to be used. We will automatically invoice you through PayPal(Venmo and all major credit cards accepted) once we receive your shirts.

Standard Turnaround: Our current turnaround time is 6 weeks from the date we check in your panels.
2-Week Rush (Free!): We are currently offering a 2-week turnaround at no extra cost. Your blanket will ship within 14 business days of check-in.
1-Week Express Rush: For $19.99, we will ship your completed blanket within 7 business days of check-in.
What are the shipping costs?
Continental US: Shipping your completed blanket back to you via USPS Ground Advantage is always FREE!
Alaska & Hawaii: Due to extended ground transit times, we ship exclusively via USPS Priority for a flat $50 charge.
International: We currently only offer our services to customers within the United States.
How do I send my panels to you?
Customers are responsible for the cost of shipping their materials to us. We recommend sending your panels within 30 days of purchase.

Deadlines: Our firm Christmas deadline is October 9th.
Carrier Issues: We are not responsible for panels or completed blankets lost by a carrier. However, if a shipping issue occurs, please contact us immediately. We have access to dedicated business representatives who are excellent at resolving missing package issues.

We offer a wide range of sizes for Classic, Double-Sided, and Baby Blankets, as well as unique 24-panel curtains.

2. Choose Your Panel Size Select a panel size that fits your largest graphic. To ensure a perfect seam, we need one extra inch of fabric beyond the panel size.
8" Panels (Baby Blankets): Requires at least 9" x 9" of fabric. Perfect for children’s items.
12" Panels: Requires at least 13" x 13" of fabric. Best for graphics 11.5” or smaller.
14" Panels: Requires at least 15" x 15" of fabric. Best for graphics larger than 11.5”.
16" Panels: Requires at least 17" x 17" of fabric. Best for graphics larger than 13.5”.
3. Select Your Backing
Classic: Finished with soft fleece (choose from 6 colors).
Double-Sided: T-shirt panels on both the front and back.
4. Add Custom Options
DYO (Design Your Own): Arrange your shirts exactly how you want them, take a photo, and include the printout with your shipment.
Embroidery: Add a personal 3-line message to any fleece-backed blanket.
Wall Hanging: We can add tabs to turn any blanket into a room divider or wall display.
5. Pick Your Turnaround Time
Standard: Ships within 3–4 weeks of receiving your panels.
Rush: Ships within 1 week (7 business days) of receiving your panels.
6. Prepare Your Shirts
Classic Blankets: Please separate the fronts from the backs and send only the sides you want included. We can do this for you for $1.00 per shirt.
Baby Blankets: Send the garments entirely intact (do not cut them).
7. Ship to Us
You may use any carrier you like to send your items to us.
Required: You must include your printed packing slip (with barcode).
DYO Orders: You must include a clear, color photo of your layout.
Hassle-Free Option: For a flat fee, we can send you a shipping bag with a prepaid label and your packing slip included.
8. Stay Updated
We keep you informed every step of the way! You will receive an email confirmation when:

Your panels are received and checked in at our facility.

Our blankets are designed to be used daily and are built to withstand regular laundering. To keep your memories looking their best, please follow these care instructions:
Wash: Machine wash using warm water.
Dry: Tumble dry on low heat.
Bleach: Do not use bleach.
Our high-quality construction ensures that the fleece and T-shirt panels stay soft and hold their shape wash after wash!
While we specialize in T-shirts, we can also incorporate a variety of other clothing items into your blanket to ensure every memory is included. Because these items require special handling, cutting, or stabilizing, they are considered "extra work."
Using Tank Tops & Sleeveless Shirts Since these items lack traditional sleeves and shoulders, our team uses specialized techniques to ensure they fit perfectly into a square panel. We can utilize:

Spaghetti strap tops (often requiring a fabric backing)

Yes! We can transfer your favorite photos onto any blanket for $14.95 per photo.
Resolution: Photos should be a minimum of 5MP for the best print quality.
Layout: Each photo counts as one panel toward your total panel count.
Sizing: For a perfect fit, we recommend photos with a 1:1 (square) ratio. If your photo is a different size, don't worry—we will professionally edit it to ensure it looks its best on the fabric.
How to send your photos: Please email your images to info@myt-shirtblanket.com. Be sure to include your Order Number in the subject line so we can match them to your project.
A panel is the perfect square we cut from each T-shirt side you send us. To ensure we can sew your blanket together securely, we always need the fabric to be slightly larger than the final panel size.
8" x 8" Panels (Baby Blankets)
Fabric Requirement: We need at least 9" x 9" of material.
Best For: Toddler and baby items with graphics that are 7.5" or smaller.
For our Classic T-Shirt Blankets, we offer four larger panel sizes:
12" x 12" PanelsFabric Requirement: At least 13" x 13" of material.Best For: Standard adult shirts with graphics 11.5" or smaller.
14" x 14" PanelsFabric Requirement: At least 15" x 15" of material.Best For: Oversized graphics larger than 11.5".

Tip: If you aren't sure which size to pick, measure the widest part of your favorite shirt's graphic. Always choose the panel size that is at least 0.5" larger than your print!
